Bobby's Blog 12/15/25


Hello blog, during my time at the Greendale YMCA I learned a lot about myself. I learned that I am a lot more capable then I thought I was and this helped to boost my confidence. I was honestly at first worried how I would fit into a office environment and was scared that maybe I wouldn't do well or that I would be like the odd one out. But as time went on I slowly started to find my place and you could see that with my confidence and approachability. I was less reserved and more out going even my boss said that on a survey. I got more comfortable at meetings and started to share more ideas that I had. And overtime I got comfortable in the position that I was in.


I worked a lot on trying to get better at using less straight lines and using more curves and circles and shapes. I found them to be not only more interesting and unique but eye catching and stylish. When I got frustrated I would sometimes go to my boss if I was stuck I actually have 2 bosses named Pat and Molly who are both very helpful and they have showed me and taught me a lot about marketing and how to work in a office environment.


Coming to the end of my internship for semester 1 I realized that I am a lot more capable then I thought I was before and that my styles reflect that. My increased confidence overtime has been reflected in my work and it shows on social media not only for flyers but in videos and creativity, they get more engagements and likes and interactions. I am very grateful to have worked here for the past few months and I look forwards to continuing after break ends!

Bobby's Blog Post 2

 In the past week I have been working a lot on flyers around the building specifically I have been working a lot of pickleball promotions as well as promoting our haunted house. The haunted house was very fun to work on. Anyone could show up to the building and the haunted house was free. It took a lot of time and effort to get everything set up. A TON of promotion had to happen, we did lots of meetings on it as well which I found very interesting since I'm still very knew to the dynamics of sitting down and being in meetings. I personally feel like I have learned a lot so far and I am starting to feel a lot more comfortable in the workplace.  Somethings that I really enjoy is how open everyone is to my ideas. At first I was scared given that I am the youngest person on the marketing team and I thought I might be looked down on. Bobby's Blog 11/16/25

 This week was a bit shorter of a week due to the holiday so this may be a bit of a shorter blog post. This week on Thursday me and my boss Pat worked on a video for our week of giving. The goal of this video is to help to strengthen our community and provide gifts for those in need.  https://www.instagram.com/p/DRA1PQWCSdY  . Me and Pat created a script thinking about what sounds good and how to talk to make the video appealing and easy to watch. After we came up with the script we filmed the video using our iphones. It took awhile and many failed script attempts but we managed to film the video in about 15 minutes. We downloaded the video and then I got to editing. First I decided what transitions to use when I make videos I use a notepad top create a general layout of what I want it to look like.
