Bobby's Blog 11/16/25

This week was a bit shorter of a week due to the holiday so this may be a bit of a shorter blog post. This week on Thursday me and my boss Pat worked on a video for our week of giving. The goal of this video is to help to strengthen our community and provide gifts for those in need. https://www.instagram.com/p/DRA1PQWCSdY . Me and Pat created a script thinking about what sounds good and how to talk to make the video appealing and easy to watch. After we came up with the script we filmed the video using our iphones. It took awhile and many failed script attempts but we managed to film the video in about 15 minutes. We downloaded the video and then I got to editing. First I decided what transitions to use when I make videos I use a notepad top create a general layout of what I want it to look like. I started with what video transitions to use and what certain times stamps are for the video like when to insert a image or if we need a sound inserted.

On Friday I filmed another video for a upcoming promotion for our 5k run we are hosting at the YMCA. This video is to help get members and non-members to sign up for the 5k not just to stay healthy but to also get donations for our programs since we are a non-profit organization. https://www.instagram.com/p/DRDYIciE9tF . We planned the video using a notepad on what we wanted to say during the video and we went as naturally as possible and just let it flow. I did the same exact video editing process as I have found this works the best for me.

On Friday Liora (friend and co-worker from Dynamy) were assigned to put up sticker cut outs for all of our donators. It took a surprising amount of planning. We had to cover the whole pool glass wall with them and we had to figure out color coordination and plan how many were sticker's were going to go on each window. It took around a hour because there were so many names but we managed to get it done without to much frustration and it was a good activity for us because we learned a lot about organization and planning.
